1. Your Dopamine Levels Increase

Dopamine is one of the chemical neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of happiness and euphoria. It is released when we are experiencing pleasure, which can come from things like eating good food, watching something that brings us joy, or doing something exhilarating like riding a rollercoaster.

Dopamine is also triggered by certain substances like alcohol and drugs, which is what leads people to turn to those substances. However, a recent study found that falling in love releases just as much dopamine as some substances. That’s the kind of high we can get behind!

2. Communication Is Easy

Communication is key to a good relationship and for many of us, it can be a huge stumbling block when it comes to dating. However, when you find your soulmate, you’ll find that communication–both verbal and nonverbal–comes naturally. In fact, it will even feel like you’ve known each other for much longer than you have from the very beginning.

Even the experience of fighting becomes different. No matter how strong a relationship is, you’re going to have moments of disagreement from time to time.

However, when you’re having a tough time with your soulmate, you’ll find that you’re no longer fighting to win or to hurt the other person. Instead, you’re having in-depth, calm discussions about both perspectives in order to find your way back to common ground.

3. Vulnerability Isn’t Scary

Not all of us wear our hearts on our sleeves. Oftentimes, we learn to shelter our feelings so that they can’t get hurt by other people.

When you meet your soulmate, nothing about vulnerability is scary. In fact, you’ll find that all you want to do is bear your true soul to your loved one so that they can know all of you.

4. Your Confidence Is Kicked Into High Gear

Have you lived with insecurities for you’re whole life? Maybe you wish your hair looked different or you worry that you’re not a good public speaker.

Whatever your insecurities may have been in the past, you can kiss them goodbye. Your soulmate thinks that you’re perfect and will remind you every day that your insecurities are only in your head.
